Channel Message Logs, Errors and Issues on NebulaCRS

The System Administrator will have access to the Channel Message Logs, Errors and Issues on NebulaCRS.

These items interfaces connected to eRes such as API's, PMS's ADS's

If there are any issues or an investigation that needs to take place for interfaces between eRes/NebulaCRS and the PMS, ADS or API then this can be done on NebulaCRS > Channels

Under channels you will find the below Issues, Errors and Message logs.


Issues

Issues will highlight problems with mapping or if information is required which may have been missed that a channel will require.


Pie Chart Graph:

Two pie charts will display for by Type and by Channel.

  1. By Type will illustrate the frequency of the same issue
  2. By Channel will illustrate the channels which are affected by the issue
Table:

The table will display the issue information which needs to be corrected and if sorted, then it can be marked as resolved.

  1. Issue Type: Describe the issue eg Room Type Mapping missing
  2. Hotel: Property that the issue is on
  3. Brand: The brand/group that the property belongs to
  4. Channel: Channel which is affected by the issue
  5. Detail: Will provide more information if applicable for the issue, eg. room type code mapping not found.



Errors

Display any error that has been logged between eRes/NebulaCRS and an ADS channel.


Pie Chart Graph:

Two pie charts will display for by Channel and by Hotel

  1. By Channel will illustrate the channels which have the errors
  2. By Hotel will illustrate the property/hotel most affected by errors
Table:

Users can filter the table if they are looking for something specific.

  1. Time: Date and time filter when the error took place, this will be when eRes logged the error.
  2. Channel: The channel that was error occurred on
  3. Hotel: Property/hotel that was affected by the error. If the field is blank then it was for the eRes/NebulaCRS instance.
  4. Error: Description of the error. Use this to resolve the error such as mapping


Message Logs

Message log will display the reservation message, rates message and availability message between eRes/NebulaCRS and the channel or PMS.


Filters which can be used for searching for messages are:




Time: Use this filter to filter for messages between a specific date and time.

The general rule of thumb, eRes will store the messages for about 3 weeks after which the messages are cleared.


Interface: Use this filter to narrow down messages to a specific interface.

Examples of Interface Types listed below:

    6. ERESAPI: BookNow, Tourplan, SafariNow, Afristay, Thompsons, TravelGround, Ecco etc.
    7. ConnectPush: Thompsons, Ecco, TravelGround, Grosvenor Tours, Res247, MTbeds etc
  1. Property Management Systems
    1. OXI or OXITwoWay: Opera
    2. OTA-WS: NebulaPMS, Optima
    3. OTA_PMS: Apex, Hotsoft, Panstrat, 
    4. SiteConnect
    5. ConnectPMS: eRes, Medallion
  1. Other
    1. DIRECTREST: Call Center and AvailNow

These are just a few examples of the interfaces to connect with eRes/NebulaCRS


Message Type:  Use this filter to narrow down messages to a specific message type. Different Message Types will apply to different interfaces for PMS’s and Channels.

  1. Reservation Type Messages: RESERVATION_NEW_COMMIT, RESERVATION_MODIFY_COMMIT, RESERVATION_CANCEL_COMMIT., RESERVATION
  2. Availability and Rates Type Messages:  SINGLE_PROPERTY_AVAILABILITY, MULTI_PROPERTY_AVAILABILITY, RATE_RULES_AVAILABILITY, RESTRICTION
  3. Other Type of Messages: FINANCIAL, RESULT, MESSAGE_REQUEST

Direction: Use this filter to narrow down messages to a specific direction IN or OUT. (Outgoing from eRes or incoming to eRes)


Property: Use this filter to narrow down messages to a specific property. ( Some messages may not include the property and some may be for multiple properties)


Message ID: Use this filter to narrow down messages to a specific message ID, depending on the channel it may link a particular message ID to locate the corresponding messages


Echo Token: On specific messages you can use the filter to only search for messages linked to the same echo token.


Message: Use this filter to find a specific reservation, channel conf number, message ID, reservation name etc.
