eRes application is not opening or opens in Internet Browser and not with Java

If you have a new PC or formatted your current PC you may find that  eRes no longer opens with Java.
  1. First, check if Java is installed on your PC by checking under programs or Apps.
  1. If Java is not installed on your PC navigate to https://www.java.com/en/download/ to download Java.
  1. If Java is installed on your PC but eRes is not opening as it should:
    1. Go to your browser and download eres.jnlp file.
    2. Next navigate to your download folder where eres.jnlp will be.
    3. Right-click on eRes -> Open With -> choose another App.
    4. A window will open with How do you want to open this file.
    5. Click on More Apps and then Click on Look for more apps on this PC.
    6. This will open the Progam Files Folder, look for the Java folder If the java folder is not there navigate to Program Files (x86). If you are unable to find the Java folder then Java is not installed on your PC.

    9. Tick "Always use this App" when opening .jnlp files.
    10. The eRes icon will now change to the java icon and you may open eRes.
