Free Nights are only awarded if at least the number of nights required to qualify for a Free Night:
● Falls in the date range of the Free Night rule: i.e. if # nights required is 4 and you request 7 nights, but only 3 nights fall inside the Free Nights rule, you will not be awarded the free night. If you book 7 nights of which 4 fall inside the Free Nights rule, you will receive the free night.
● Is available at the Rate code specified in the Free Night rule i.e. if # nights required is 4 and Rate code is for SPEC and you request 4 nights, but the SPEC Rate code is only available for 3 nights (i.e. might be closed out on one night), you will not receive the free night.
● NebulaCRS will assign the Best Available Rate per day, as usual. If the SPEC Rate is the best Rate for all nights (or for at least 4 nights), the free night will automatically be assigned as part of the Best Available Rate per day. If the SPEC Rate is not part of the Best Available Rate per day (for at least the ‘# nights required’), the user will have to select SPEC (i.e. do a Rate code override) in order to receive the free night. This also means that NebulaCRS\BookNow will only grant the free night if the SPEC Rate is part of the Best Available Rate. For other web booking systems, as long as SPEC is available for the length of the stay, they will receive the free night – it might however require that the user on that system selects the SPEC rate.
Please Note
- When a Rate is linked to a Free Night rule, it doesn’t mean that the Rate will exclusively be used on the Free Night rule. The Rate will still be considered during Rates evaluation (if unrestricted) during the booking process. If the Free Night Rate is auto assigned, the user still has the option of selecting an alternate Rate code.
- Only one Free Night per itinerary will be assigned. During the reservation process Free Nights are displayed as part of the Rate Breakdown screen in order for the user to see how the total reservation value is calculated.
