How do I apply a Discount on eRes?
To add a Discount to a reservation on eRes the below steps need to be followed:
1. How to apply a Discount on a reservation
- Once you have added the Accommodation itinerary line proceed to the "Guest details" Tab.
- Enter the discount code or click on the look up list of discounts available.
- Once the discount has been selected, the accommodation amount will immediately reduce by the discount percentage.
- Optional: You may add the discount provided and the original rate on the itinerary memo or the reservation memo for the guest to see on the Confirmation Voucher or Invoice.
Please note
- The discount will immediately reduce the accommodation amount. The discount will apply to all itinerary lines.
- Services are not discounted.
- The discounted amount will display on the Confirmation Voucher or Invoice.
- There will be no automated indication of the discount applied on the Confirmation Voucher or Invoice. You may manually add the details to the itinerary memo or reservation memo to have it display on the Confirmation Voucher or Invoice.
- Discounts are only built and applied in percentage.
2. Creating a Discount code on eRes
- Navigate to Tools -> System Administration -> System Codes.
- Select "Discounts".
- Click on the "Add" Discount button.
- When adding a Discount give it a Code, Name/Description, and Enter the Discount Percentage amount. Enter any value between 0 and 100, without % sign.
- Click on the "OK" button.
3. Creating a Discount code on NebulaCRS
- Navigate to Rates .
- Select the "Discount" tab.
- Click on the "New" button.
- When adding a discount give it a Code, Name/Description, and Enter the Discount Percentage amount. Enter any value between 0 and 100, without % sign.
- Click on the "Save" button.
- Close and open eRes to ensure that the discount code has been successfully added.
