How do I change an existing Room Number to be linked to a different Room Type in Apex?

In order to change the Room number associated with a Room type to a different Room type, the below steps need to be followed:

1. Room Numbers

1. Navigate to Administration -> Reservation Codes -> Room Codes -> Room Numbers.

1. Next select the Room number that needs to be associated to a different Room type, by clicking on it once until the Room number is highlighted in blue. 

1. Proceed to right click on the Room number and select the "Change Room Type" button.

1. Click on the drop down menu at the bottom of the screen and select the "New Room Type" from the list.

1. Thereafter click on the "Save" button, please take note of the warning message below:

Warning 

Only the current and future reservations will be changed. Guest History and Past Statistics will remain on the old type. The Rate on the reservation will only be changed when the booking is loaded. 

1. Once you select "Yes" the Room type will be changed accordingly. 

Please Note

Should Apex interface with a Central Reservation System such as eRes, these room type changes need to take place on eRes as well.
