How do I Closeout a Rate to an OTA or GDS in eRes?

In order to create a Rate Closeout specifically for an OTA or the GDS the below steps need to be followed:

1. Rate Closeouts

When a Rate is closed out it will not be displayed as an available Rate for attachment to the reservation on the itinerary. The Rate will also not be available to the OTA's or GDS's.

The system assigns the next best available Rate and advises by means of a restriction message that the less expensive Rate is closed out.

1. To add a Rate Closeout click on the "Add" button and enter the dates during which the closeout should be active.

1. Next specify which Rate Groups or Rate Codes need to be closed out. When selecting the Rate Groups, all Rate Codes contained within are also selected. To closeout all Rate Groups and Rate Codes, simply leave the entry on [All].

1. Click on the lookup button and select the Property/Properties where the closeout should be applied from the drop down menu. Alternatively all properties under the group can be selected once off by selecting the check box next to the group name on the drop down menu.

1. Should the Rate Closeout be made specific to one Room Category only, select that Room Category from the drop down menu. Alternatively leave this field blank and it will apply to all Room Categories at the selected properties.

1. On the Channel menu select GDS and ADS if the rate should not be made available to the GDS's and ADS's.

1. On the Source menu the specific sources can also be selected, if all sources are effected leave the entry on [All].

Once all the information has been completed, select the "Ok" button to save the Rate Closeout. The Rates will then be closed out to the relevant OTA's and GDS's.
