How do I fix frequent Agoda configuration errors?

When availability updates are failing, the ADS message logs are checked in order to resolve these errors. In order to resolve the errors found on the ADS message logs the below steps need to be followed:
1. ADS Message Logs
  1. To access the messages navigate to Tools -> System Administration -> Interfaces -> ADS -> View ADS Message Logs.
  1. Select the drop downs specific to the OTA (in this scenario Booking.com) and the Property, then select the eRes Type and click on the "Search" button.
  1. The search will return the latest inventory or rate messages last uploaded to the OTA's. The "Sent" message contains what has been sent to the OTA's, whereas the "Received" message contains success or error messages. 
  1. In order to view these messages highlight the message by clicking on it and click on the "View" button, thereafter click on the "Pretty Print" button in the bottom right-hand corner. 
  1. Please see the below examples of frequent errors received.
2. Common Errors 
Common errors and their solutions are:

2.1 Error Code=1201 API key is not authorised for Property Id

  1. Please check if your Agoda hotel ID is entered correctly. If it is please contact Agoda and ask them to check if you are connected to eRes channel manager. If the property is hidden on eRes, ensure all mapping has been removed on Agoda ADS settings.

2.2 Authentication failed. Invalid authentication or User not have permission to access Hotel.

  1. Please check if your codes are entered correctly. If they are please contact Agoda and ask them to check if you are connected to eRes channel manager. If the property is hidden on eRes, ensure all mapping has been removed on Agoda ADS settings.

2.3 Available allotment (x) cannot greater than number of rooms (x)

  1. This error means eRes is sending a quantity greater than you have listed on Agoda.

2.4 Please set extra bed rate

  1. Agoda expects a price for an extra bed. Please log into your Agoda account and set the extra bed price there.

2.5 Property id: 00000 has not been migrated yet

  1. You need to complete your profile creation and self self activation in the Agoda Extranet before you map your rooms and rates.

2.6 Rate: for ratePlanId: 123456 which is out of stay start/end period: (201X-XX-XX/201X-XX-XX) has not been set

  1. The rate has a start and/or end date in Agoda. Prices sent for any dates outside this range will cause this error. Either adjust your prices in eRes or in Agoda.

2.7 Invalid room type please check your room type ID

  1. Please check your room type ids are correct and the connection is enabled.

2.8 Room: 00000000 does not exist for Property id: 00000

  1. You are trying to update a room code which is not a valid Agoda room code. You can only update room codes which are available this is listed on Agoda get rooms and rates XML message.

2.9 Cannot set Double rate because max occupancy is 1

  1.  Agoda must have the room set for single occupancy only and we are sending a sharing price. Either remove the double price or have Agoda set the room for a higher occupancy.

2.10 Cannot set double rate when maximum occupancy less than 2

  1. Agoda must have the room set for single occupancy only and we are sending a sharing price. Either remove the double price or have Agoda set the room for a higher occupancy.

2.11 Cannot set full rate when maximum occupancy less than 3

  1. Agoda must have the room set for double occupancy but eRes is sending a room price for more guests. Either set a sharing price in eRes remove the room prices or have Agoda set the room for a higher occupancy.

2.11 Cannot set full rate because max occupancy is 2

  1. Agoda have the room set for a maximum of two people but eRes is sending a room price for more guests. Either set the max people for the room to two in eRes or have Agoda raise it to the same value as eRes.

2.12 Default rate: xxxx should be between xx and xxxx

  1. Agoda expects the price to be within this range. Either correct the prices in eRes or remove the restriction from Agoda.

2.13 Please set full occupancy rate.

  1. A full occupancy rate is a price for 3 or more guests. Double rooms do not use full occupancy rates. Agoda expects the room to hold 3 or more guests and is expecting a price for 3 or more people. A common cause it that you have set the room for an occupancy of 2 in eRes but for a higher occupancy in Agoda.

2.14 Price provided not sufficient for Max occupancy = X, rate missing: Full rate

  1. Agoda expects the room to hold up to X guests and is expecting a price for up to X guests. Check that you have a price for the full occupancy. Another common cause it that you have set the room for a certain occupancy in eRes but for a higher occupancy in Agoda.

2.15 Full Rate should be greater than Double Rate

  1. Agoda expects the full rate to be higher. This applies to prices we are sending and prices already in the Agoda system. A common cause is that in eRes you have set the room as a double room and in Agoda it is set as a 3 or more person room. Correct the room occupancy so it is the same in both systems. If this is not the reason check which prices are in your Agoda system.

2.16 Rate x00.00 cannot less than Minimum Rate xxx.00

  1. Agoda has set a minimum price limit for this rate. Either ask Agoda to lower the limit or raise the price in eRes to be at least as high as the limit.

2.17 Rate x00.00 should be between xxx.00

  1. Agoda has set a price limit for this rate. Either ask Agoda to change or remove the limit or change the price in eRes to be between the prices shown by Agoda.

2.18 Max extra bed has not been set, You cannot set the extra bed rate

  1. You do not have an extra bed option in Agoda. Either remove the extra person price in eRes or change your set up in Agoda.

2.19 Rate plan: 0 does not exist for Property id: 00000

  1. You are trying to update a code which is not a valid Agoda rate plan. You can only update rate plans which are available this is listed on Agoda get rooms and rates XML message.

2.20 Requested currency: XXX does not match with Property currency: YYY

  1. Check the Currency code entered in NebulaCRS -> Rates -> Currency or on eRes under System Administration -> Currency and Edit the currency in question. Also check the currency which is linked to the Rate code on eRes.
