How do I install Fingerprint readers for PlusPoint?

Please Note
PlusPoint ONLY supports Digital Persona Fingerprint Devices.

Each workstation that is going to use a Fingerprint reader needs a driver to be installed for the device to work.

1. Employee Codes

  1. Once you have installed the drivers navigate to Administration -> General Administration -> Employee Codes.
  1. Select the Employee  which fingerprint you would like to register, click on "Change" and activate the Fingerprint access setting.
  1. The system will request that the Employee scans their fingerprint 4 times.
  1. Once the system accepted the scans it will display a success message.
  1. Once done, click on the ‘"Save" button.
  1. Each workstation that has the Fingerprint Reader installed also needs to be configured, navigate to Administration -> Point of Sale Administration -> Workstations.
  1. Select the workstation where the Fingerprint reader is installed from the list displayed on the left, click on "Change" and go to the  Device Control Tab and activate the "Finger Print Reader Installed" setting under "Other Installed Modules", then click on "Save".
