How do I override a rate code or rate amount in eRes?

In order to override a Rate code or Rate amount the below steps need to be followed:

It may be required to override the auto-assigned Rate code on the itinerary line. This may be accomplished on the itinerary line itself or on the Rate breakdown screen.

1. Itinerary Rate Override
  1. Access eRes and open the reservation where the rate needs to be overridden.
  1. Right click on the itinerary line and click on the "Amend itinerary line" option.
  1. Navigate to the "Rate Code" section, click in the rate code block and remove the rate code automatically assigned by eRes.
  1. Next press F4 on your keyboard to view the alternative rates available at the property for this reservation. 
  1. Select the desired rate code and click the "Ok" button.
  1. Remember to select the "Save" button to save the changes.
Please note
Should a rate code or currency change have taken place it will be indicated by a pink/purple border around the rate or currency on the itinerary line

2. Rate Breakdown 
You can choose to override either the Rate Code or the Rate amount, from the Rate Breakdown screen.

2.1 Rate Code Override
  1. Access eRes and open the reservation where the rate needs to be overridden.
  1. Right click on the itinerary line and click on the "View rate breakdown" option.
  1. Next select the "Override Rate Code" button located on the top part of the display. This activates the override capability on the rate breakdown screen.
  1. Note the Rate code will now be pink. To proceed with the override, remove the contents of the Rate code field and select F4 on your keyboard. The "Search for Rate Code" screen will be displayed for you to select an alternative Rate code.
  1. Once this has been completed select the "Close" button and remember to click on the "Save" button to save reservation changes.
Please Note
  1. Revenue restrictions are entirely disregarded when an override on the Rate breakdown display is performed. This results in all Rate codes being displayed, even if some are closed out. Only Rate Types relevant to the current reservation session are displayed.
  1. The "Override Rate" user right is required to perform any Rate code override.
  1. Rates appear in pink text. When a Rate value is overridden a pink border is present around "Amount" on the itinerary line.

The Rate Code override may be removed by selecting "Remove Rate code override" button on the same screen, which restores the previous auto assigned rate code to the itinerary.

2.2 Rate Value Override
  1. Access eRes and open the reservation where the rate needs to be overridden.
  1. Right click on the itinerary line and click on the "View rate breakdown" option.
  1. Next select the "Override Rate " button located on the top part of the display. This activates the override capability on the rate breakdown screen.
  1. The Rate values changing to pink indicates that this screen is now in override mode. To proceed with the override, simply enter the new rate values where required.
  1. Once you tab out of the amended field the rate breakdown display updated the sub totals accordingly.
  1. To remove the Rate override, simply select the "Remove Override" button which restores the previous known values to the Rate schedule.
  1. Remember to click on the "Save" button to save reservation changes.
