How do I override a Deposit Policy on a reservation in eRes?

There are certain fields on the Deposit Policy section of the reservation which can be overridden.
In order to be able to override the Deposit policy the user must have the right assigned "Override Deposit Policy".
Fields which may be overridden on the Deposit policy are the Deposit Policy selection, Date and amount.

1. Deposit Policy Override
To override the Deposit Policy:
  1. Remove the pre-populated policy, then double click (or press F4 or on newer keyboards Fn and F4) in the Deposit Policy field.
  2. Select the required Deposit Policy from the "Search for Deposit Policy" screen.
When an alternate Deposit Policy is required, it is vital to first remove any override present before changing the Deposit Policy. If this is not done the overridden amounts remains present, even if an alternate policy has been assigned to the reservation.

2. Date Override
To Override the Date:
  1. Double click in the "Date" field.
  2. The cursor starts flashing when your attempt to override is successful (meaning you have user rights to complete this task).
  3. To change the Date select the calendar in the date field and choose your required date.
The Overridden date and field shows a pink border around the overridden field for ease of identification.

3. Amount Override
To Override the Amount:
  1. Double click in the "Amount" field .
  2. The cursor starts flashing when your attempt to override is successful (meaning you have user rights to complete this task).
  3. Change the current values and once done, click tab to save the input.
The Overridden amount field shows a pink border around the overridden field for ease of identification

4. Removing Override
To revert back to the original calculated values of the Deposit Policy, follow the below steps:
  1. Right click on the Deposit Policy line where the override was done, and select 'Remove Override'.
  2. If no option appears when you right click on the Deposit Policy line it means that no override was done. 
The 'Remove Override' is only present when an override was successfully done previously.

5. Removing Deposit Policy
To Remove a Deposit Policy:
  1. Select the pre-populated policy.
  2. Backspace in the policy field and remove the policy.
If the Deposit policy is removed and not replaced this will not display on the Deposit reports or on the deposit breakdown on the reservation.
