How do I setup the GuestRevu Interface in Apex?

The new configuration pertains to clients that are currently on Apex Version 2.39 Rev 1021 and any release above. Should you be on a Version that is lower than V2.39 Rev 1021, please contact your HTI Client Success Agent to schedule an upgrade.

1. Interface Configuration
Please note
The Interface Configuration tab can only be accessed by the System Administrator as they will have full rights to the Apex System.

  1. Open Apex and Navigate to Administration -> General Administration -> Interface Configuration.

  1. Click on the "Add" button, and enter the Interface Description field as "GuestRevu New".
  2. Next select the Interface Type from the list as "GENSURVEY".
  3. The Controller will be the same as the old GuestRevu Interface. For example If the Controller was "3" on the old Interface then it will be "3" on the new Interface setup as well.
  4. Ensure that the "Load" tick box is activated on the new Interface that is currently being configured.
  5. Please remember to Untick the "Load" tick box on the old GuestRevu Interface so that it does not conflict with the new Interface being added.
  6. Should the user require a warning message to display at the bottom of the System when the Interface is not running, please activate it by ticking the "Display Warning" tick box.

  1. Next the Settings will need to be entered:
  1. Folder Name: This would be the path to the route folder of the GuestRevu Interface in the HTI main folder. An example of the path would be \\ComputerName\HTI\Apex\GuestRevu\
  2. Host Name: Contact GuestRevu to obtain the Host name.
  3. Establishment Code: Contact GuestRevu to obtain the Establishment code.
  4. User ID: Contact GuestRevu to obtain the User ID.
  5.  Password: Contact GuestRevu to obtain the password.

  1. Once all the settings have been completed click on the "Save" button.
  2. The new GuestRevu Interface will now have successfully been configured.
  3. Before launching the Interface, please make a test booking/reservation with an email address and an ID number attached to ensure everything is working as expected.
  4. When launching the Interface, it should display that there is 1 XML message sending to GuestRevu.
