How do I override a Cancellation Policy when cancelling a reservation in eRes?
When cancelling a reservation on eRes a user is able to make changes to the Cancellation policy.
The user must have the right to be able to override the Cancellation policy, otherwise they will not be able to do so.
To override the Cancellation fee, the Cancellation policy type can be overridden or the Cancel Fee percentage. This is done on the Cancellation fee window which display the cancel fee breakdown.
1. Changing the Policy
On the Cancellation fee window:
- Select the itinerary line you wish to change the policy on, double click on the policy field and edit the policy to one of your choosing.
2. Changing the Cancel Fee %
On the Cancellation fee window:
- Select the itinerary line you wish to change the Cancellation fee percentage on, double click on the cancel fee field and input the new percentage.
Please Note
- The Cancel fee percentage is not amendable on the First Night Cancel policy as the nature of this policy rule is to charge the value of the first night’s accommodation, i.e. not percentage based.
- Only amendable on a standard, percentage based Cancel policy rule.
- This cannot be changed or undone after the reservation is cancelled.
- The Cancellation policy cannot be changed on the summary screen or on the reservation itself, only when cancelling the itinerary or reservation.
