How do I remove Room Types and Room Numbers on Apex?

Please see below steps to remove Room Types and Room numbers from Apex.

Cancel or move any future or current reservations, as well as maintenance jobs linked to the Room number and Room types. There should not be any reservations linked to the Room types and Room numbers which are going to be removed.

1. Remove Room Number
  1. Navigate to Administration -> Reservation Codes -> Room Codes -> Room Numbers.
  2. Select the Room number that needs to be removed and click delete.
  3. Once all the Room numbers have been removed the Room type can be deleted if required.
  4. If the Room type does not need to be deleted, then run an Availability rebuild.
2. Remove Room Type
  1. Navigate to Administration -> Reservation Codes -> Room Codes -> Room Numbers.
  2. Select the Room type that needs to be removed and click delete.
3. Run an Availability Rebuild
  1. Navigate to Administration -> General Administration -> Availability Rebuild, click on Yes.
  2. All users must be logged off Apex, when running the rebuild.

Once the Room numbers and types have been removed from Apex, they also need to be removed from eRes, the eRes System Administrator can assist with this.
Remove Room type on eRes, if linked to channels, the ADS mapping needs to be removed. Then the Room type "show" tick must be removed on the Room type.
The Room type will not be able to be deleted but can be hidden.. If the number of rooms are being reduced but the Room type remains, the number of units built can be changed.

Once this has been completed, please send your Client Success Team a screenshot of the Availability chart to confirm the number of rooms match the license.
