Reservations with IATA 99999992 as the Agent
- IATA IDs of 99999999 (usually Sabre) and 99999992 (Apollo/Galileo) are dummy (or ‘wild card’) IATA numbers.
- These allow Travel Agencies, that do not currently have official "unique" IATA numbers associated within their respective GDS, to still be able to book reservations via the applicable GDS.
- Assigning unique IATA numbers to Travel Agencies is the responsibility of the applicable travel agent and their associated GDS channel.
- There is no direct control over which agencies can use the dummy/wildcard IATA numbers and/or have the ability to require Travel Agencies to use a unique IATA number to be able to confirm a reservation via the system.
