How to add a new Room Type in NebulaPMS?

Build new room type:
  1. Navigate to Settings -> Property -> Room type.
  2. Select the Property from the drop down.
  3. Click on Add
    1. Code: Input code for the room type, up to 6 characters, this can be alphanumeric. (NB! No special characters or spaces should be entered)
    2. Description: Room Type name
    3. Charge Code: Leave this blank unless the charge code for room revenue differs eg instead of accommodation charge code camping is used.
    4. Max Pax: Maximum pax that the room type can take (Adults, Children and Infants)
    5. Overbooking Limit: Leave on 0 if overbooking is not allowed or input a number for overbooking limit
    6. Display Sequence: Order the room type should display on availability and room chart
    7. Web Excl.: Room type not sent to CRS interface
    8. Occupancy Excl.: Room type is non room, should not be included in occupancy statistics.
  4. Once completed click on Create
Once all room types have been added, you may assign the room numbers to the room types.

Load rate amounts on new room types
The next step is to add the Rate Amounts or values. Navigate to Settings -> Rates -> Rate Amounts. 
  1. The user can define rates as Per Unit/Room or Per Person. Unit rates are charged per unit/room for up to a certain number of guest occupying the Room.
  1. Therefore, a Unit rate could be 2000 per room for up to two adults, in essence this means that if you have two or less adults you will be charged the unit rate. If you have more than two adults you will be charged the unit rate as well as the Extra Adult rate for each extra adult after that.
  1. When using Per Person rates, the Single rate is charged when one guest occupies the room and the Sharing rate is utilised when a room is being shared. 
  1. When an extra adult occupies the room the system utilises the "Extra Adult" Rate.
Please Note
Unit Rates and Per Person Rates cannot be utilised on the same Room Type. The user needs to define either a Unit rate or Per Person rate per Room Type.
  1. To add the Rate Amounts select the Rate Code, Year, Currency and Property from the drop down menus.
  1. Select the Season and enter either a unit or single and sharing per person rate amount. Remember to include the "Up to" pax amounts. To ensure that the amount has been saved or entered successfully, tab to the next line or click in another block.
Once the above has been completed the Rate will now be active in NebulaPMS on new room types
Move Reservations to new room types
Once you have loaded the new room types and completed the rates, you can then move the reservations to the new room types.


Link Room Types to the Central Reservations System

Once you have completed the above, the new room types can be linked to eRes CRS or Nightsbridge.

For Nightsbridge:
Please log a support ticket with HTI Client Success Team and Nightsbridge to link the new room types on the interface.

For eRes/NebulaCRS
Please contact your system administrator for eRes/NebulaCRS to map the new room types on CRS
